Can you let me know a recipe for Southern Macaroni and Cheese?

I am craving some mac and cheese but the southern style is the best does anyone have a good recipe. Thank youCan you let me know a recipe for Southern Macaroni and Cheese?
Southern Macaroni and Cheese Recipe








Ingredients:


8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked


8 ounces cheddar or Colby cheese, shredded


1/2 cup butter, melted


Saltine crackers


2/3 cup milk


Salt and pepper








Directions:





Spray a flat bottomed casserole dish with vegetable spray. Put half of the macaroni in the dish, top with half of the shredded cheese. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Repeat. Mix the melted butter and enough crushed saltines to absorb the butter, together. Spread on top of cheese layer. Pour milk slowly over all. Bake at 350F for 30-40 minutes or until milk is no longer liquid. Let set for about 10 minutes before serving.





Note: You can also bake this in the microwave, just omit milk.

Macaroni and Cheese





2 cups elbow macaroni


1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted


4 eggs, beaten to a froth


3 cups milk


2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese


pinch of salt





Preheat the oven to 350掳. Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water as directed on the package and drain. Return to the pot and add the butter, then the eggs and milk. Stir in the cheese and salt to taste. Place in a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole and bake for 30 minutes, or until the liquid is firm but not dry.

Add four cups of elbow macaroni to a glass or ceramic dish. Throw one cup of half inch cut pieces cheddar atop. Add four inch size pats of melted cows butter, one half cup diced sweet Vidalia onions %26amp; two eggs and mix up until even.





Mix in tbsp extra virgin olive oil mix %26amp; one half cup red sweet pepper cut in small bits %26amp; one tsp cayenne pepper.





Turn oven to 300 degrees be hot enough %26amp; for one hour slow cook.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil


1 lb macaroni


8 tablespoons butter


1 tablespoon butter


1/2 cup muenster cheese, shredded


1/2 cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded


1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded


1/2 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded


2 cups half-and-half


8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed


2 eggs, lightly beaten


1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt


1/8 teaspoon fresh ground pepper





1. Preheat oven to 350.


2. Lightly butter a deep 2 1/2 quart baking dish.


3. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a rapid boil.


4. Add macaroni and the 1 TB oil.


5. Cook for 7 minutes, or until somewhat tender.


6. Drain well, and return to the pot.


7. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt 8 TB of the butter.


8. Stir into macaroni.


9. In a large bowl, combine all of the shredded cheeses.


10. To the macaroni, add 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheeses, half and half, the cubed cheese and the eggs, and the seasoned salt and pepper.


11. Transfer to the prepared casserole dish, and top with remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheese.


12. Dot with remaining 1 TB of the butter.


13. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and bubbly.


14. Serve hot.


15. Serves 8.
Boil %26amp; drain pasta, then pour into greased casserole dish. Add 1 pkg finely shredded cheddar, 1 block of velveeta, 2 eggs, 1 cup milk %26amp; stir together. Bake @ 350 til casserole sets ( about 40 minutes or so) Top casserole with shredded cheese %26amp; place back into oven til cheese browns on top.......Yummy!!

Army %26amp; Lou's Soul Food Macaroni and Cheese





10 ounces elbow macaroni


1 (8 ounce) package shredded sharp cheddar cheese (2cups)


1 (8 ounce) package Velveeta cheese, pasteurized processed cheese, cut up (1 cup)


1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces


3 eggs, slightly beaten


1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk


1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup


1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt


1/4 teaspoon ground pepper (white if you have it)





Let cheeses and butter stand at room temperature.


Cook macaroni according to package directions until almost al dente'.


Drain macaroni and transfer to a large bowl.


Add 1 cup shredded cheese and Velveeta cubes to hot pasta and stir gently til cheeses start to melt.


In a medium mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, butter, milk, soup, salt and pepper.


Stir this mixture into the cooked macaroni mixture.


Transfer half into a 13x9 sprayed baking dish.


Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.


Top with remaining macaroni mixture.


Bake covered at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.


Uncover.


Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.


Return to oven and bake 15 minutes more until cheese is melted and bubbly brown.


Let stand 10 minutes before serving to meld flavors.
