I need a good recipe for baked macaroni and cheese?Anyone have a good recipe for baked macaroni and cheese?
Baked Macaroni and Cheese:





This recipe is especially appealing to children.





16 ounces uncooked large elbow macaroni


1/2 cup butter or margarine


1/3 cup all-purpose flour


2 cups milk


3 cups (12 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided


1 (12-ounce) container small-curd cottage cheese


2 large eggs, lightly beaten


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs


1 teaspoon Greek seasoning





Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.





Melt butter in a Dutch oven over low heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Cook 1 minute, whisking constantly. Gradually whisk in milk; cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Stir in 2 cups Cheddar cheese and next 3 ingredients. Stir in pasta.





Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Top with remaining 1 cup Cheddar cheese. Combine breadcrumbs and Greek seasoning; sprinkle over cheese.





Bake at 350掳 for 25 minutes.

this recipe sucks you don麓t ned flour enough cheese to bind the all thiing and cottage cheese is the wrong cheese to use, bread crumb is a mistake just add one egg to some of the liquid mixture

1 medium bag of macaroni elbows-cooked


1 cup of diced jalapenos(about 4-5 large jalepenos)


3 cups each of Parmesan, mozzarella and sharp cheese,mixed together


1/2 cup of black pepper


mix all of the above together





1 crushed day old round bread sprinkled on top of everything





and bake until cheese is melted and golden brown

';Londonberry Casserole'; - Serves 8-10





8 oz. macaroni


2 cups milk


2 eggs; well beaten


4 tablespoons butter


2 cups cheddar cheese; shredded


2 cup soft bread crumbs


2 tablespoons parsley; minced


2 tablespoons onion; minced


2 teaspoons salt


1/2 teaspoon pepper





Cook macaroni following directions on package; drain. Heat milk, but do not boil. In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, butter, cheese, bread crumbs, parsley, onion, salt and pepper. Add macaroni; mix thoroughly. Pour into well-greased large casserole, stand in pan containing 1'; of water, and bake in 350* oven for 30 minutes.








';Creamy Macaroni and Cheese'; - 4 to 6 servings





8 oz. elbow macaroni


6 tablespoons butter


1/4 cup flour


1/2 teaspoon dry mustard


1 teaspoon salt


1/4 teaspoon pepper


3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


3 cups milk


1 small onion; grated


3/4 pound sharp Cheddar cheese; shredded (3 cups)


3/4 cup soft bread crumbs





Cook macaroni in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Put in 2 1/2 or 3-quart casserole. Melt 4 tablespoons butter; blend in flour and seasonings; add milk and onion. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in cheese; pour over macaroni, and mix lightly. Top with crumbs mixed with remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter. Bake @ 375* for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.








';Creamy Ham and Macaroni'; - 6 servings





2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni


1/4 cup butter; cubed


1/4 cup all-purpose flour


2 cups milk


4 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules


1/4 teaspoon pepper


2 cups (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese; divided


1 1/2 cups cubed fully cooked ham


1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese





Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Whisk in the milk, bouillon and pepper. Bring to boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup cheddar cheese, ham, Parmesan cheese and macaroni.


Transfer to a greased 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese. Bake, uncovered, @ 350* for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

I've got it





Cook 2 cups of elbow macaroni and drain


Pour 1/4 of the cooked mac into a casserole


Top that with 10 crushed saltines


On top of the saltines lay 5 pieces of American Cheese (deli style)


Repeat those steps 3 more times


Fill casserole with whole milk to the top of the layers


Bake at 300 until the cheese is golden...about 1 hour. Check after 40 mins.

Go to Wal, K or any other Mart next to ya, head for the frozen groceries section, select one box from selection, open the box, tear out protective film, cooked for 3 mins at High level and presto!
This recipe is quick and easy. It is one of our favorites. Be sure to include the small amount of green pepper as it makes all the difference!!


INGREDIENTS:


1/2 cup butter

2 Tbsp. minced green pepper

PREPARATION:


Melt butter in medium skillet; add uncooked macaroni, onion, green pepper, salt and dry mustard. Stir in 2 cups water and bring to boiling. Reduce heat to low; simmer covered 10 to 15 minutes until macaroni is tender

10ozExtra-sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded coarse (about 2 3/4 cups)


1cupCoarse fresh bread crumbs





Method :





* Preheat oven to 375F. and butter a 2-quart shallow baking dish.


* In a 6-quart kettle bring 5 quarts salted water to a boil for cooking pasta.


* In a heavy saucepan melt butter over moderately low heat and stir in flour and paprika. Cook roux, whisking 3 minutes and whisk in milk and salt. Bring sauce to a boil, whisking and simmer, whisking occasionally, 3 minutes. Remove pan from heat.


* Stir pasta into kettle of boiling water and boil, stirring occasionally, until al dente. Drain pasta in a colander and in a large bowl stir together pasta, sauce, Worcestershire sauce and 2 cups Cheddar. Transfer mixture to prepared dish. Macaroni and cheese may be prepared up to this point 1 day ahead and chilled, covered tightly.


* In a small bowl toss remaining 3/4 cup Cheddar with bread crumbs and sprinkle over pasta mixture. Bake macaroni and cheese in middle of oven 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden and bubbling, and let stand 10 minutes before serving.


* Serves 8 Children.

* ';As Mr. Horn and Mr. Hardart discovered, this is a great do-ahead dish for a crowd, keeps well, and reheats like a dream. It certainly was an Automat favorite.';


* 1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a 1-1/2-quart baking dish.


* 2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in the flour, then add the milk, salt and both peppers. Stir almost constantly until the mixture thickens and is smooth, 8 to 10 minutes. Add the cheese and cook, stirring, until it melts. Remove from the heat.


* 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the macaroni and the sauce. Stir in the tomatoes and sugar. Transfer the macaroni mixture to the greased baking dish. Bake until the surface browns, 30 to 40 minutes.


* Serves 4 to 6
