I am a beginner. Just learning how to cook!HELP! I need very easy recipes for macaroni and cheese!?
Obviously, Macaroni and Cheese that just gets heated in the oven is the very easiest. Mac and Cheese in a box is a little more work, but still very easy. BUT....neither of those things tastes very good.
Here is a great recipe for Mac and Cheese:
Homemade Macaroni and Cheese
Cook 1 pound of elbow macaroni noodles according to the directions on the box. Boil it with salt added until desired tenderness. Drain and rinse.
Grate or very thinly slice approximately 1 pound of cheese; Ronda’s preference is sharp cheddar. Extra sharp is a bit TOO much unless you’re really into sharp. Mild or medium washes out.
Place half of the noodles in a casserole dish. Cover with half the cheese (grated works well, but sliced reasonably thin also works.) Place the other half of the noodles over cheese, and then cover with second layer of cheese.
Whisk together 5 eggs. Beat enough to break the yolks and “mix ‘em up”, but don’t beat them too much. Add two cans of evaporated milk, salt and pepper to taste to the eggs, and pour the mixture over the noodles/cheese. The milk and eggs should basically come up to the top of the noodles and cheese. Add more milk if necessary.
Then bake until golden brown and “set”. If you’re using a glass casserole dish, remove it before it’s completely “firm”, because it will continue to cook as the dish cools. You want it “jelled”, but not hard and dry. It can be baked in the oven along with meat or whatever other dishes you’re cooking in the oven, at whatever temp, as long as it’s not too high. Don’t go over about 350°-375° tops.
Another thing you can do is add chopped/cubed ham (or chicken or whatever floats your boat) in the layers of noodles/cheese and make it mac and HAM and cheese.
You can also adjust the amount of cheese to taste. If someone really doesn’t like cheese, then a mild cheese might be a better option, because you won’t taste it. It’ll be a good binder without much taste. On the other hand, if you’re a real cheese fanatic and not much for noodles, then a New York sharp or extra sharp cheddar in large quantity is a go.HELP! buy the kraft box, it's simple to make
Preparation time less than 30 mins
Cooking time 10 to 30 mins
INGREDIENTS
250g or 9oz macaroni
40g or 1½oz butter
40g or 1½ plain flour
600ml or 1pint 1½fl oz milk
250g or 9oz grated cheddar
50g or 2oz grated Parmesan
METHOD
1. Cook the macaroni in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 8-10 minutes; drain well and set aside.
2. Melt the butter over a medium heat in a saucepan slightly larger than that used for the macaroni. Add the flour and stir to form a roux (i.e. paste mixture of butter and flour), cooking for a few minutes.
3. Gradually whisk in the milk, a little at a time. Cook for 10-15 minutes to a thickened and smooth sauce.
4. Meanwhile, preheat the grill to hot.
5. Remove the sauce from the hob, add 175g/6oz of the cheese and stir until the cheese is well combined and melted.
6. Add the macaroni to the sauce and mix well. Transfer to a deep suitably-sized ovenproof dish.
7. Sprinkle over the remaining cheddar and the Parmesan and place the dish under the hot grill. Cook until the cheese is browned and bubbling. Serve straightaway.
Macaroni and cheese is one of the easiest dishes to make. It's better to make it from scratch than to get it straight from a box. Though that may be easier it's healthier to make it yourself and it doesn't take much more time.
the blue box, its the cheesiest!!!
i guess just the noodles and some cheese lol
if you want to make it without buying the box

Elbow macaroni
Velveeta cheese
butter
milk
black pepper
Boil 3 cups of elbow macaroni. place in colander. In the same pan place 1/4 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of butter, and 3 half inch slices of Velveeta cheese. Melt together, mix the noodles back in, with a pepper mill give it 5 or 6 good turns. There ya have it, mac and cheese. Can also jazz it up with a half a cup of salsa, or chopped jalapeno peppers, OR whatever else you fancy.
I just made a great mac and cheese I found it on the foodnetwork.com site by Emeril. Don't be scared because it comes from him. It was easy to make and a hit with the kids and adults at the table. I did omit the spices since that is not kid friendly. Good Luck!!

What can be easier than a crockpot. I saw this one on Food Network's Paula Deen's Home Cooking this week. It isn't heart healthy, but it is easy and good.
Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (an 8-ounce box isn't quite 2 cups)
4 tablespoons (1/2 stuck) butter, cut into pieces
2 1/2 cups (about 10 ounces) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Boil the macaroni in a 2 quart saucepan in plenty of water until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain. In a medium saucepan, mix butter and cheese. Stir until the cheese melts. In a slow cooker, combine cheese/butter mixture and add the eggs, sour cream, soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and stir well. Then add drained macaroni and stir again. Cook on low for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. (The eggs are optional- Southern cooks like to put eggs in their mac and cheese).
I like Kraft... all you have to do is boil the noodles and add butter and milk
