MACARONI AND CHEESE
1 lb. box of elbow macaroni
1 lb. extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 lb. butter
about 1 quart of milk
salt
Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
Cook macaroni according to directions. Drain.
Grease a 2 quart baking dish generously with butter. Spoon in a layer of cooked elbows. Place 1/2 pats of butter evenly spaced over the top of this layer. Salt the top of the layer, and then top with a layer of cheese.
Starting with more macaroni, repeat layers several times, ending with a generous amount of cheese. Gently pour in milk just till it becomes barely visible below the final layer.
Bake till golden brown on top, about one hour.
You might want to place the dish on a cookie sheet to catch any overflow as it bakes.Does anybody know an easy homemade macaroni and cheese recipe?

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion for 2 minutes. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in milk, salt, mustard and pepper; cook, stirring frequently, until mixture boils and thickens.
Meanwhile, bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
To the milk mixture add the Cheddar and American cheeses; stir until cheese melts. Combine macaroni and cheese sauce in a 2 quart baking dish; mix well.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
A creamy macaroni and cheese recipe, made with Cheddar cheese sauce, cooked macaroni, and seasonings. Top this with buttered bread crumbs, if you wish.
INGREDIENTS:
5 cups cooked macaroni (8 ounces raw)
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 pepper, or to taste
2 cups milk
3/4 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
paprika, optional
PREPARATION:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Stir flour into the butter until smooth and bubbly. Stir in salt. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. continue to cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add cheese and continue to cook and stir until melted. In an 8x10-inch baking dish, alternate layers of macaroni and cheese sauce. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired. Bake in a preheated 350掳 oven for 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

Stove Top Mac and Cheese

1/2 pound elbow macaroni

2 eggs
6 ounces evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Fresh black pepper
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
10 ounces sharp cheddar, shredded
In a large pot of boiling, salted water cook the pasta to al dente and drain. Return to the pot and melt in the butter. Toss to coat.
Whisk together the eggs, milk, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and mustard. Stir into the pasta and add the cheese. Over low heat continue to stir for 3 minutes or until creamy.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups raw pasta (elbows, shells, penne, etc.)

1 cup milk
1 cup chicken broth
2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided use
Sweet Hungarian paprika
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 375 F. Coat a 2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until a bit firmer than al dente.
Drain and place in prepared casserole dish.
While pasta is cooking, whisk together milk, chicken broth, eggs, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and salt.
Pour milk mixture over pasta. Add 1-1/2 cups Cheddar cheese. Stir to combine. Top with remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese and sprinkle with sweet paprika.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until top is lightly browned. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Kids will love this even more if you make a hot dog octopus to put on top.

* 1/2 cup process cheese sauce
* 2 frankfurters, sliced
* 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 pinch dried oregano
* 4 buttery round crackers, crushed
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Heat cheese sauce in microwave, 1 minute. In 8 x 8 inch baking dish, combine cooked pasta, cheese sauce, sliced frankfurters, Parmesan and oregano. Top with crumbled crackers and bake 10 minutes.

Just pour some macaroni into some boiling salted water and cook till tender. Place into a casserole dish . make a cheese sauce pour over macaroni top with more cheese and place under the grill. You can add some onion or anything else you fancy to the sauce. so you would use about 1 cup dry macaroni to a pan half full of water add half teaspoon salt. for the cheese sauce you melt a tablespoon of butter in a pan melt add a heaped tablespoon of flour stir well adding milk but keep stirring so if any lumps form they dissolve and just keep adding milk cooking it until the sauce thickens add about half a cup cheese grated
