I was making lunch one day and decided to try and make the sauce a little different than usual so I added parmesan cheese and flour. It is absolutly delicious! What is the best stovetop macaroni and cheese recipe?
A couple of family size Kraft Mac and Cheese boxes should git r done fer ya.
Kraft dinner but add some extra heavy cream or sour cream and some extra grated cheese and a dash of garlic salt or powder.
good old fashioned kraft
the best is to boil your noodles and then just put a big hunk of velveta cheese in it
This is what my family always ate -- if you don't want to add the hamburger, don't bother.

One finely diced onion

One or two cloves of finely diced garlic

Some olive oil (1 Tbsp?)

about a pound of hamburger (250 g.)

Season salt and pepper to taste

Sautee the onion and garlic in the olive oil until translucent. Add the hamburger, and sautee until brown, then season to taste. Drain of fat, and set aside.

While you are browning, you can bring a large pot of water to boil. I would go for at least 8 quarts/liters of water. When boiling, add 4 cups of macaroni (twisty shapes are really nice!), and cook according to directions. Drain, and return to the pot. Add some milk -- you should just see it peeping through the bottom, but mostly what you will see are noodles. Add some diced Velveeta or American cheese (about three inches of the big block -- maybe a cup to a cup and a half?) (if you want to use a natural cheese, you will probably have to grate it, then bake it -- otherwise it gets stringy very easily). Over low heat, stir and cook until it melts nicely. Add more cheese if it seems too soupy, add more milk if it's too thick (remember it will get a little thicker as it cools).

Add the hamburger mixture and heat over low until warm. If you don't add the hamburger, then add season salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately! This is good with buttered toast. A green salad would be nice; steamed broccoli is a wonderful nutritious side dish.

(-; Perfect every time. Good luck!
